1. Orientation The video begins with a primary discussion about your ideas and wishes, the objective of the video and the target audience. During that meeting, we'll discuss the length, content, manner of presentation and so on. It's all needed to develop a concept that fits your needs. A visit to your company, institution or locations is standard and helps us to understand your goals and wishes. 3. Scenario & Storybook The following process is entirely dependent on the content of the production. Sometimes it is a simple registration of several images that are later assembled. Another time, the first step for film is to create a scenario. A scenario is a more detailed description of how form is given to the synopsis. When the scenario is ready, we'll agree when & where to make the required shots. Then, almost always, we'll made a shot list in which every shot is clearly defined and one can read where we're going to shoot what and who is involved. 5. Editing
Most of the time, we'll start with an off-line edit in which you can see all the images in the right sequence. This gives you an opport-unity to make your obser-vations. If needed, we'll even make a secondary off-line. All discussed changes will be made in the final on-line edit for video. If the com-mentary wasn't in the scenario, it will be written at this stage as well. You'll receive a preliminary proposal for the voice-over. Ultimately, commentary, live sound and music are mixed. Then your production is ready for its premiere. | | 2. Synopsis and Budget The obtained information is the basis for a synopsis -an outline/summary- for the production, that describes what the video will look like. A synopsis will be accompanied by a preliminary budget in which the cost of preparation, recording, equipment, actors, presentation, editing, text writing and other things are clearly defined. Production will start only after your agreement to the synopsis (in original or modified form) and the final budget. 4. Shooting the footage
After approval of the plan and arrangements, we'll start the actual recording of all necessary footage, all in close cooperation with the people involved. With current digital equip-ment, we'll often monitor the footage shortly after shooting and maintain an inventory. 6. Copies and distribution From the digital files, we can make files for DVD, Blu-Ray, USB stick, etc. It is also possible to create digital files to use for PC, Internet, mobile phone, streaming video, etc. We also offer turnkey solutions for mailings or internet distribution. |
